Hey! Michele Bachmann’s Running!

Hey!

In a  move that surprised absolutely no one that has paid even a minute amount of attention to the 2012 presidential landscape, Michele Bachmann

just made it official!  She’s running for President!

A quick quote from her.  She says, and I quote (thanks to the Washington post):

This is the first day of taking our country back.  I’ve worked very hard to bring your voice to the halls of Congress. Now, I want to take your voice into the White House, where it hasn’t been heard for a very long time.

Wait, who is she going to take the country back from?  The Americans? Damn, I didn’t realize we Americans were the enemy, here in … umm … America!

😛

Seriously, Republicans were in the White House less than 4 years ago, and are largely responsible for the financial mess and completely responsible for the employment mess this nation finds itself in.

When I think of the mess this nation is in, I think of Alan Greenspan and Denny Hastert, of Hank Paulson and George Bush.  I think of the Republicans trying to privatize Social Security, large reductions in the tax base without commensurate cuts in government spending, creating large and unsustainable deficit spending.  Which has diminished this nations ability to grow financially since those particular tax cuts started out 10 years ago.

Oh, ya, and they started the most unnecessary war in American history, the Iraq war,  costing us hundreds of billions of dollars at the very least, with over 4,000 dead and 32,000 wounded.

That is who and what Rep. Bachmann represents, and that is what she wants to bring back to the White House.  Good luck selling that to America, Michele.

I don’t honestly believe she is crazy, like some say, or that she is a fringe candidate, like some say.  I believe that she is a media savvy lawyer/politician who knows who she represents, that being the far right, and speaks the way she does because she thinks the world thinks the way she does, except those evil liberals, who she thinks aren’t really American…which is a sick, sad joke on her, for America is a nation large enough and strong enough to encompass all worldviews and ideologies.

And it is ironic that people who think like that, that only one side of the argument is ever right, like Michele and those on the far right (as well as a number of those on the far left), who think they are expressing love for America when they spout their narrow views, are expressing hate for all that America stands for, and hate for the American dream in it’s purest form, which is the promise that life be better for everyone, not just people who think like they do.

Seems some people forget that when they talk about their politics, that they can be wrong.

Viddy of the day:  Michele Bachmann enters Presidential race

We’re in a state of crisis where our nation is literally ripping apart at the seams right now, and lawlessness is occurring from one ocean to the other. And we’re seeing the fulfillment of the Book of Judges here in our own time, where every man doing that which is right in his own eyes—in other words, anarchy.
