Anagram: Maximum Entropy/Momentary Mix Up

RindI read a Great many things during any given day, and I try to learn something new every day.  I try my best to be the best person that I can possibly be, in every way that I can.  That is why it bothers me that the Politics of the day is so fraught with the same stupid back and forth and stupid issues every single day.  It is almost like Both side of the Democratic party are dead set against creating or keeping anything positive in this campaign at all.   I could point to any of the Myriad issues over the last two months as an example, from Jeremiah wright, to Geraldine Ferraro, to Samantha power, to Clinton Ducking imaginary bullets in Bosnia.

First thing i’ll touch on will be something of a Novel suggestion for the Democratic party and their convention in August in Denver.  A completely different candidate, Neither Obama or Clinton put up as president.   In a story from the www.tcpalm.com,  a website for a palm beach florida newspaper, Local Representative and Super Delegate Tim Mahoney said that a compromise candidate could possibly be selected if There is a deadlock after the first ballot during the convention.  Quoting the story:   “If it (the nomination process) goes into the convention, don’t be surprised if someone different is at the top of the ticket,” Mahoney said. A compromise candidate could be someone such as former vice president Al Gore, Mahoney said last week during a meeting with this news organization’s editorial board.  END QUOTE.

Now I am sure He only brought Al up as an example of someone who could potentially get picked, but I LIKE this Idea.  A lot.  These two have been such Badly behaved and Unruly little shits that a Third Candidate added on at the end taking it all away from them would serve them both well.  Much as I Like Hillary, and think she’ll be a Good president, given the chance, but with no end of the Bullshit and yapping from BOTH Sides, I have no Problem whatsoever in giving them BOTH a time out and picking someone else.

Yes I understand that all those people who voted at all for any of the candidates would feel robbed in this circumstance, But I truly think it would be good to bring in someone on top of the ticket who is completely above the fray, above all the crap that has gone on here.  This democratic nomination process has been The Ugliest Mud slingingest, nastiest, dirtiest, bitchiest, whiniest, stupidest horse-crap I have ever seen in the political spectrum in my entire life, and I’ll be happy to see the back of it, to be honest.

BTW I like Rep. Mahoney’s Attitude towards this entire thing, not to mention the thoughts of the average Floridian.  Again quoting the above-mentioned story, Mahoney First, then Stats from a local poll about the Florida Jan 29th election: “Mahoney said he had intended to skip the convention because “I have better things to do in my district” than attend what recently has become a glorified pep rally. He will stay away if his super-delegate vote isn’t needed.”  I’m sure a lot of the Other Caped crusading democrats have more important things to do as well.  Second story quote: “A recent statewide poll of registered Democratic voters by the St. Petersburg Times and its television partner showed that the campaigning boycott of Florida had little effect on Democratic voters’ choices in the Jan. 29 primary. The poll showed that 56 percent said the lack of campaigning had “no effect at all” on their vote. Also, 77 percent of the people polled said that it is “very important” to them that the results of the Jan. 29 primary count.”  These people are not stupid.  Count their vote, Mr. Dean.

Ladies and Gentlemen, We have more of the Clinton/Obama Fun:  Hillary has finally weighed in on the “Reverend Wrong” Yappin Moron  Scandal.  for the entire story click here—>  http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/03/25/807330.aspx  Quoting the MSNBC story: “Given all we have heard and seen, he would not have been my pastor,” Clinton said. “I gave a speech at Rutgers, about a year ago, that was triggered by the Don Imus comments, and I said it was time for standing up for what is right, for saying enough is enough, for urging that we turn a culture of degradation into a culture of empowerment, for saying that, while we, of course, must protect our right to freedom of expression, it should not be used as a license or an excuse to demean and humiliate our fellow citizens.”  She then went further, saying, “We don’t have a choice when it comes to our relatives. We have a choice when it comes to our pastors and the churches we attend.” END QUOTE.  The Obama people of course, had the Obligatory political bullshit response that she’s speaking about it now to minimize the damage from her lying about her Bosnia trip…..which she also spoke about in the same press conference.  Mind you, she also had The Typical Political Bullshit in Hand, and downplayed it.

Both parties are idiots here.  She “Misspoke”.  My Ass she Misspoke, she lied.  But ya Know, her Lie isn’t nearly as bad His Truth, his associating with known racists, and by associating with them, assisting in perpetrating the self same racism and destroying any chance for the next generation of having anything but negative feeling towards white people in his community.  She needs to apologize for her lie.  He needs to walk away from his church.  I don’t expect her to tho, any more than I expect Sen. Obama to stop going to The Church of Racism and the Poisoned mind in Chicago.  Both sides are committed way too deeply here for there to be any retreat from their stated positions now.

A Final piece of news, This from The Polls.  Hillary Clinton has a 3% lead over Barack Obama Nationwide in a Rasmussen poll of Democrats, with a 3% sampling error.  Dead Heat.  Gallup has Obama with a 2% lead over Hillary, with a 2%  sampling error.  Dead Heat.  No surprise as far as I see it.  The one thing here that’s going on is the Undecideds here.  The Rasmussen poll has 11%  of the democratic populous undecided, and Gallup has 8% Undecided.  Those people, those 8-11%, those happy undecided few, are going to (possibly) make the difference in the most important Political process our nation has, The picking of the Next President.

       Choose Wisely everyone.

Politics, News, and Opining are Done.  Music Next.

Guitar: I have so far played:

Scales, the standard run of them.  3 string One Octave Major and Minor Scales In all keys.

Alternate Picking Single string chromatic exercises.  Ascending, descending, and alternating, meaning ascend for 4 notes,(1,2,3,4) move up one fret and descend for 4 notes(5,4,3,2), then up one fret and ascend (3,4,5,6) etc. etc.   don’t think i ever fully explained that before, thought now would be as good a time as any.

a few quick pivot point exercises(from the Vinnie Moore tape that i spoke of yesterday) meaning find One (or more) notes as a base, and play a short ascending or descending riff, using that Note or notes as a Pivot point, Example:  A,C,A,G,A,C,A,F,A,C,A,E,A,C,A,D.  The pivot point there being, obviously the a,c,a combo.   You can have as many types and go in as many ways as you feel for this exercise.  Use That imagination and Go Nuts!

Noodled for a bit, just a few chord progressions.  simple ones.    That’s about it for the Playing.

And That’s It for the Blog.  Go Jam!

Today’s Nuggets, two of Aesop’s Fables, from http://etext.lib.virginia.edu/toc/modeng/public/AesFabl.html :

The Wolf and the Lamb

WOLF, meeting with a Lamb astray from the fold, resolved not to lay violent hands on him, but to find some plea to justify to the Lamb the Wolf’s right to eat him. He thus addressed him: “Sirrah, last year you grossly insulted me.” “Indeed,” bleated the Lamb in a mournful tone of voice, “I was not then born.” Then said the Wolf, “You feed in my pasture.” “No, good sir,” replied the Lamb, “I have not yet tasted grass.” Again said the Wolf, “You drink of my well.” “No,” exclaimed the Lamb, “I never yet drank water, for as yet my mother’s milk is both food and drink to me.” Upon which the Wolf seized him and ate him up, saying, “Well! I won’t remain supper-less, even though you refute every one of my imputations.”

The tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny.

The Raven and the Swan

A RAVEN saw a Swan and desired to secure for himself the same beautiful plumage. Supposing that the Swan’s splendid white color arose from his washing in the water in which he swam, the Raven left the altars in the neighborhood where he picked up his living, and took up residence in the lakes and pools. But cleansing his feathers as often as he would, he could not change their color, while through want of food he perished.
