Sure must be a great consolation to the poor people who lost their stock in the late crash to know that it has fallen in the hands of Mr. Rockefeller, who will take care of it and see it has a good home and never be allowed to wander around unprotected again. There is one rule that works in every calamity. Be it pestilence, war, or famine, the rich get richer and poor get poorer. The poor even help arrange it.
I saw the truest ad tag line I have ever seen, true in the sense that it nails down exactly how politics in America is played. Pretty damned funny as well. And curiously enough it was from the U.S. chamber of commerce. Now, ya know it was meant to be a dig at the Democrats actually spending money trying to save the economy, and the hard road the Republicans (they presume they will simply be handed power, presumptuous bastards that they are) will have to travel fixing things (one guesses the same guys who made the mess will try to fix it the same way they broke the system in the first place, tax cuts for the rich, and f*** the poor) but it works equally well to point out exactly why the Democrats are in the political trouble they are in, and why the Republicans don’t really care:
THE POLITICIAN VALUE MEAL: ORDER ANYTHING YOU WANT AND THE GUY BEHIND YOU PAYS.
The Republicans ordered anything they wanted for years, and the guys behind them, We Democrats, get to pay the political price for them being the bunch of hogs they are, the fools they always have been. They do the crime, we get left holding the bag. Ya. Just great.
And we have the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to thank for the cute little ad that rubs that in America’s face. Like we can’t do anything about it.
And ya know where I saw the ad? Facebook. It was a facebook ad on the game bej…you don’t need to know what game in particular. Ya know what happens if you click the ad, right? You get directed to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce facebook page, which gives you handy things to click on like http://www.voteforbusiness.com/voterresources which shows things like pictures of Marco Rubio and call him a job creator…
Viddy of the day: Rachel Maddow plays Rubio’s game, and wins. Nice.
The more you read and observe about this Politics thing, you got to admit that each party is worse than the other. The one that’s out always looks the best.
… Now how he is a job creator I have no idea, he hasn’t done an honest days work once in his entire life, unless you call being a lawyer and politician honest labor. I don’t, but hey, that’s just me.
There is a lot of crap along those lines at that particular site.
Lots of pretty colors, very short on detail, on what they actually plan to accomplish, with pretty pictures of their people, and lots of villains with dour faces.
Like Joe Sestak. You know Joe, right? The guy who won, amongst other medals, two meritorious service medals, two legion of merit awards and the Defense distinguished service medal with the U.S. Navy. Former Vice Admiral Sestak. A villain. Ya. Just great. Who’s the next villain fellas, Pat Tillman?
Another link points to… Ya know, the hell with advertising for these pains in America’s ass.
Done with these Anti-American bastards. They seem like all the rest of the right, hiding behind the flag, while promoting all the ideas that do nothing but hurt America.
G’night America. I’ll write to you tomorrow. Tomorrow brings the next installment of 12 notes, so have yer guitars ready.
