As for me, I am deeply a democrat; this is why I am in no way a socialist. Democracy and socialism cannot go together. You can’t have it both ways… socialism is a new form of slavery.

The original beginning of this piece has been deleted, due to the original posting point, hubpages, thinking I copied the piece from here and wrote it there. Silly people. Apparently, even though it is original to me,it is an issue is that for them, a no-no of some small magnitude. They prefer original content, even though I wrote the piece (hence it’s actual originality) they prefer it not be in multiple places.
It would have done no harm to have left it as is here, but the choice is mine, and since I like that hubpages spot, (not more than here, but it is nice) I’ll play nice this once and leave them the original content and alter this post here.

It really is good stuff. It’s titled “The Joy of Socialism” and it’s all about fighting the concept that there is rampant socialism within our government, the stimulus package, the health care legislation, all that goodness.
It makes the point that the stimulus isn’t socialism because there is no attempt at control of means of production… you know me, using the actual dictionary meaning of the word against those who would use it wrongly against anyone.
I even used the words “Right wing xenophobic punditry” in it.
Nice. Go. Click that link up there. It really is a good piece. GO! 😉
Viddy of the day: The Dalai Lama talking about Capitalism, Socialism and income inequality, from about 2 years ago. Good stuff.
Capitalism is based on self-interest and self-esteem; it holds integrity and trustworthiness as cardinal virtues and makes them pay off in the marketplace, thus demanding that men survive by means of virtue, not vices. It is this superlatively moral system that the welfare statists propose to improve upon by means of preventative law, snooping bureaucrats, and the chronic goad of fear.
There are people, woefully misinformed people, who think it socialist to bailout companies. There are people who think it was socialist to help out the auto industry. Because the government loaned them money and bought stock, they see it as A GOVERNMENT TAKEOVER. Nice sentiment, but deeply flawed. The buying of stock was meant to keep them afloat, and make the government some money back on it’s investment. It was not then or now meant to be a PERMANENT stake in the car companies. And the IPO that GM is doing later this year, and Chrysler’s IPO later next year stand in mute testimony that this relationship is anything BUT permanent.
There are people who think that the Health care bill is socialism. Oi, what can ya do? Save $138,000,000,000 and STILL they bitch. It might not be the best plan, but it is A PLAN, one that can be changed, altered in future to meet future needs, and one which does not meet the criterion for being socialist, in any way shape or form.
I think they just like using the word “socialist” because it feels to them like a new curse word that they can hurl at people who they don’t like… but I digress…
There are people who believe that the government OWNS the banks. You read that bullshit right, there are idiots out there who actually believe that bullshit. I have no idea why. Ya, there was a bailout, ya banks got money. But here’s a hint, that is called a LOAN, and we’ve gotten the bulk of that money back.
Ya know, if you, right wing America, are going to criticize the left, the democratic party, the President, and anything that doesn’t look like you, is it really necessary to MAKE SHIT UP? There are flaws in the system, the President has made mistakes, and we are only human, there is plenty to go after, if that’s how you want to play this. But cut that weak ass crap with making stuff up, because it is stupid, and it makes you look silly.
Socialist bank owners… do you realize how friggin STUPID that sounds, and how dumb you on the right look for thinking that silliness up?
That’s it from here, G’night America. I’ll write to you tomorrow.
