Anagram: Eleventh Hour/He Love Hunter

       I would have blogged sooner but I ..well I was watching football, and I did some running and working out…I have the day off today so I can go to jury duty tomorrow.  Not too big a deal.  I’ve done jury duty before, It should be no big deal.

        No Political news of any kind today.  At least none that I saw…except that Sarah Palin will talk to Charles Gibson next week.  No big deal as far as I see it, so she’s talking to the press.  It had to happen sometime, didn’t it?  I’m more interested in what she says and how she reacts to more negative and pointed attacks from her democratic rivals.  There was something that I caught a second of on C-Span a while ago that I might check in its entirety when I have spare moment.  A 2006 debate that involved one Sarah Palin, who was then running for Governor of Alaska.  I didn’t hear her say one word during the brief section i watched, and I am interested to hear her viewpoints in general at that point, if for no other reason to see if her viewpoints a scant 2 years ago are any different then they are today, and also to see what kind of debater she is.  Both things are I think are at least somewhat important.

       Let’s see, what news did I catch today.  Ummm…Not much.  There’s a big damn hurricane heading towards Cuba and the Gulf of Mexico.  Ike looks like he could hit Florida after he finishes beating the hell out of Cuba.  The One piece of good news is that Ike weakened slightly and is not hitting Cuba as a cat 4 Hurricane, which is what was expected.  We’ll see what happens when he leaves Cuba and heads towards the Gulf of Mexico and Florida or wherever he decides to go.

    What else…I’ve covered Paulson and The Treasury taking over Freddie mac and Fannie Mae.  Tom Brady Got hurt today, There’s bad news for the Pats fans out there. He got hit by a Chiefs player whose name I currently forget, who was in fact pushed from behind by a Pats player.  The Chiefs player landed on his left knee and Brady fell awkwardly.  I’m not a pats fan tho, so I’m not all that worried.  He’s having an MRI taken of the damaged appendage tomorrow.  Luckily for the Pats, Matt Cassel stepped up admirably and led the Patriots to a Victory over the next to worst team in the league, 17-10.

       Nothing else going on really.  I think I’m gonna toss a Video in here and be done with it.

    A short portion of the 2006 debate for The Alaskan governorship:

That’s it from here.  Wish me luck at jury duty tomorrow!  Later!

Today’s Nugget, Hamlet’s Soliloquy, Via Wikiquote:   To be, or not to be, — that is the question: —
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? — To die, to sleep, —
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache, and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, — ’tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish’d. To die, to sleep; —
To sleep, perchance to dream: — ay, there’s the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there’s the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor’s wrong, the proud man’s contumely,
The pangs of despis’d love, the law’s delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would these fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death, —
The undiscover’d country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, — puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know naught of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o’er with the pale cast of thought;
And enterprises of great pith and moment,
With this regard, their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action.
