Anagram: Huckabee Can Win/Cue Hick Wannabe

Benjamin Franklin  Yes folks, I think that Mike Huckabee can win the Republican Nomination.  If you look carefully, you will see that Mike Huckabee is taking a sizeable portion of The Conservative vote in every state he runs in.  And he Is reaching out to the Conservative party, and using every tool in his considerable arsenal to make sure that people think of him as a viable candidate and to think of him as The Conservative candidate.  He is reaching out to all those alieneated Republicans who are disenchanted with the party right now, and that is a Not inconsiderable amount of people.  Newt Gingrich today at CPAC made the following statement, quote courtesy of Cnn:  “On Super Tuesday, there were 14.6 million Democrats who thought the presidential nomination was worth voting for, and there were 8.3 million Republicans” who felt the same, he said. “That is a warning of a catastrophic election.” end quote.   Mike Huckabee is reaching out to all of those who didn’t vote then, and there brethren in all the states that have yet to vote and is saying to them that there is a candidate you can trust, a candidate you can look to to keep the faith.   And I think his message is reaching the right ears.  Mr. Huckabee has won the Kansas GOP Caucus by a margin of 60% to 22% over John McCain.  Look out Sen. McCain.  You have company.

I still have every confidence that the Democrats will win the White House In November.  I believe that the current Impasse is temporary and that whoever emerges will be stronger Because of all the Fighting that they are doing now.   Sens. Obama and Clinton will be better candidates because of the strength it takes to fight every single day for every single vote.  We Democrats are Not conflicted as far as what we want from our president is concerned.  We are conflicted about which excellent candidate we want to lead the Charge to take back the White House and America away from the Conservatives who want to put us deeper in debt, and take away our freedoms and our rights.  The Conservatives wave the flag hardest and scream the loudest to hide the fact that they are the ones who are the most active in the destruction of the rights and freedoms which they claim to cherish.  Is it the Democrats who argued that it is legal to wiretap Americans?  To take away habeus Corpus? No! It was the Conservative president George Bush Who took them away, and if we vote for a Republican that trend will continue and will worsen.  America is Losing Its freedom Under the Republicans.  Take Your freedom Back America.  Vote Democratic! Save America!  Save The World!

That’s It for Politics.  Onto The Personal Stuff.

5.45 miles in 43:26.50  7:58.25 m/m pace.  My lower left leg was sore before the run today, but I decided to go for it anyway.  It stayed sore the entire run, but the soreness lessened after I did a Mid run Form check and found that I was doing several things wrong.  I was leaning forward when i was running, I was Hunching my shoulders and I was breathing out of sync.  After I fixed those three issues, The run became a Fair bit easier.  I was running, prior to the form check, at about an 8:05  –  8:10  M/M Pace, and afterwards i got faster as the run got easier.  Truly nice.  Gonna have to form check more often.  I should do it every day, but I haven’t been.  That’s gonna change.  Workout.  A short one But it beat my ass.  The whole thing took 15:48.7  The plan was real simple.  100 Squat thrusts and 100 Deep knee bends, and then the usual stuff after wards.  Man it was hard.  Got to 50 Squat Thrusts and I had to stop.  Went to the Deep knee bends early.  Had to.  I had no idea it would be as hard as it was.  It was just as Hard to do the second 50 as well.  had to stop for a few seconds to catch my breath about 1/2 way through.  Busted My ass, and Dammit! It was Good!

I didn’t play the guitar much today.  I played more than the Normal Pentatonic scales today.  Five versions of them instead of the Usual two.  Major and Minor scales.  all scales in all keys, as usual.  Played one or two chord progressions, and noodled a bit.  call it 25 minutes worth of playing.  I don’t like shorting myself of playing time, but Time was short today.  I was busy from when I woke up to when I left for work today.  And what’s worse, I haven’t recorded in better than two weeks.  I need to get back on that horse and start recording again.  The reason i haven’t recorded is that My computer has Vista and I cannot for the Life of me figure out how to record without echo.  The echo is bad enough that it throws off my Timing.  And that makes it impossible to record what I’m playing and have it timed right.  Gonna have to fix that.  I haven’t found a way to yet.  Hopefully i will.

That’s It for me.  I am at the office and I have work to do.  Surprisingly Not much, But I do have work to do, So I am off.  Jam On!

Today’s Nuggets, courtesy of Wikiquote:  We have abundant reason to rejoice that in this Land the light of truth & reason has triumphed over the power of bigotry and superstition, and that every person may here worship God according to the dictates of his own heart. In this enlightened age & in this Land of equal liberty it is our boast, that a man’s religious tenets will not forfeit the protection of the Laws, nor deprive him of the right of attaining & holding the highest offices that are known in the United States.   George Washington

So convenient a thing it is to be a reasonable creature, since it enables one to find or make a reason for everything one has a mind to do.   Benjamin Franklin

  1. According to the demographics, I should be voting for Hillary Clinton: I’m a white, 60-year-old, highly educated woman from the Northeast. But I’m voting for Obama. I’ve waited all my life for a viable woman candidate for the presidency, but this is not the right woman. I want a woman of the highest ability and virtue, who would serve as a glorious role model to all young women. Hillary Clinton is not that woman.
She rode into power with her husband, and together they’ve acquired a long and seriously flawed history of self-serving and secretive financial and political dealings. The most cursory research will prove that true. She started out her political life supporting the racist Barry Goldwater. She is as comfortable with deception and trickery as George Bush. When I hear woman saying, “Oh, but that’s how you get things done in Washington,” I literally cringe.
I am passionately supporting Barack Obama. He can beat the Republicans; she cannot. Obama has attracted Independents and even Republicans to his camp, and in a general election they would vote for him, but not for Clinton. Clinton voted for the war, and has never apologized for it. Obama has spoken out against it from the beginning. Obama brings us hope–and not just that. Take a serious look at his ideas and experience.
Please, I beg of you, Sisters young and old: wait for the right woman. Then we can be proud.
